The Chopta Chandrashila Trek is one of Uttarakhand’s most popular short Himalayan treks. Starting from Sari, this journey offers everything a trekker could ask for alpine meadows, serene lakes, ancient temples, and breathtaking summit views.
The highlight of the trek is the climb to Chandrashila Peak (approx. 4,000 m) via Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world. From the top, trekkers are rewarded with panoramic Himalayan vistas, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, Chaukhamba, and Kedarnath peaks.
